Roman gilt- bronze intaglio ring


An attractive and wearable Roman gilt-bronze ring dating from around 300AD. The more-or-less circular head is deeply engraved with the head of a helmeted warrior, and retains most of its original gilding-the typically shaped shank with curved shoulders less so.
