There were many stylistic 'revivals' in the 19th century, Gothic, Renaissance, Egyptian - but Assyrian Revival is uncommon. This large and heavy pair of cuff-links, 18ct gold hall-marked, made in Birmingham in 1900 by the maker RHJ are a particularly fine pair, applied with Assyrian winged bulls.
