An attractive jadeite pendant, carved on one side with a peacock, and on the reverse with foliage. The colour on the front is somewhat stronger than on the reverse, but the jade is translucent and of adequate thickness. Much jade is now dyed to improve its colour, but in my opinion, the colour is natural. It hangs from a suspension loop, with a French control mark for 18ct. Length excluding suspension loop 1 1/2 inches: 38 mm
