Diamond solitaire ring
This classic diamond solitaire ring is set with an earlier brilliant-cut diamond of 0.87 carats, I/J colour and with no noticeable inclusions, in a platinum mount with diamond baguette shoulders, probabkly made in the 1930s, 6-claw coronet setting, and a narrow D-section shank. - size O 1/2 but can very easily be sized up or down. The earlier brilliant-cut was established by Marcel Tolkowsky in 1914, and differs only from the modern brilliant-cut, from around 1950 onwards, in having a small facet at the back, instead of coming to a complete point. This is a very good-looking classic engagement ring at a very good price.
