INDIAN DIAMOND CHOKER OR BAZUBAND
This choker is correctly known as a Bazuband, and it is a traditional item of Indian jewellery intended to be work on the arm, above the elbow. However, it makes a very effective choker for a slim neck. It is set with lasque or flat-cut diamonds typically used in much Indian jewellery, and set in high-carat gold, the back beautifully decorated with Jaipur enamel in typical and traditional colours. the fastening method is also traditional, but could be replaced with pearls, or ruby or emerald beads, wiith a more conventional snap. The internal width of the centre is approximately 4 inches: 10 cms, and the height with the drop approximately 2 3/8 inches: 73 mm.
